Was able to sneak out after work for a couple hours and was rewarded with a bunch of nice bass! Water was around 53 degrees and the fish were stacked in the coontail. I like a 3/4oz All Terrain A.T.Jig so I can cast into the clumps and get it to the bottom. The fish either smack it on the fall or as you rip it out of the coontail you'll feel them thunk it and take off. It's worth making short trips if that's your only option.
