Been on an awesome Gill bite of platter size trophies! Using our electronics makes it quick to find these fish and catch them. All of the fish have been released to fight another day and keep our lakes healthy!

These brown fish won't loosen their grip on us! Hours and hours of effort into cracking these things on a few key lakes is starting to pay off. When you set the hook and know it's a 95% chance that the fish is going to be over 4lbs it's a pretty crazy feeling. We have some of the best fishing in the country 20 miles from our door but when you find fish built like this you drive the extra miles and it's worth everything we put into it!

A 3 year "Quest 7-1" was completed at the end of April, 2016. We put in a bunch of hours scanning, mapping, game planning, miles on the truck, hours on the motor and time away from home with one goal. In one hook set, our lives changed completely. It wasn't like we expected to break the record, but when we did it there was almost a feeling like we were meant to. We were prepared for this fish. Every cast was a focus of one big bite. Every cast was to a specific spot that we could see on our graphs. Every cast was the thought that this could be the one! The cast was perfect. The hook set was perfect. Keeping the fish down was perfect. The net job was perfect. Getting the fish certified was perfect. Releasing the fish alive after officially breaking the record was perfect. ​"Quest 7-1" was complete and we now had the record at 7lbs 3oz. However, the journey is not over. There are more fish to catch. There are more records to try and break. Every trip has a meaning. Every hour of preparation puts us closer to accomplishing our next goals. Our goal is to take luck out of the equation.
